BOKANG NTSUTLE
Bokang Ntsutle, from Bethlehem, Free State, is an accomplished actress, writer, and director with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Theatre and Performance from the University of Cape Town. Her notable theatre roles include Ways of Dying, Mahareng: The Passage of a Bird, Dulube, and The Battered Housewives’ Club.
In film, Bokang won Best Actress in an LGBTQ+ film at the Standalone Film Festival for Iinyawo Zinodaka: Muddied Feet. She has contributed to community theatre through Magnet Theatre’s Clanwilliam Project and starred in i-Yeza, an educational stage production to raise awareness about COVID-19 in 2021.
Bokang’s work blends humor and social commentary, reflecting the South African proverb, “If we don’t laugh, we’ll start to cry.” In 2024, she wrote and produced Misplaced Shoes, her first professional play, which had a successful run at the National Arts Festival.
